The weekend rides vary in length from approximately 15 to 60 miles and the pace can be anywhere from 17 to 20+ miles per hour, depending on the group you go out with. We might have between 10 - 20 riders on the weekend rides, so you may be able to find someone who rides at your speed. it's best to be fit for these rides. The group starts out together and usually breaks into different groups as soon as the ride progresses. These rides are basically an out-and-back format, where riders leave and returns to the same point. There are usually three route options that allow you to find a distance you are comfortable doing. Most of the rides have some place to stop along the way to refill water bottles, grab a snack, or whatever. Bring a couple of bucks with you if you plan to stop. But most of the time we don't stop. One day each month that is designated as a "Welcome Ride". These rides are supposed to average 15 - 16 mph, usually for the shorter distance. Look for faster attacks after about 15 minutes. Good luck! Occasionally these rides will have a ride leader to stay with this group throughout this ride. Touring rides begin in March and continue through October. These rides are generally scheduled for Saturday and Sunday mornings and are supplemented with Tuesday and Wednesday evening rides beginning in May. Check out the Daily Rides and Weekend Ride schedules in the Schedules menu. Everyone is welcome to come out and join any of the rides, which are free of charge. Fall - Winter Show 'n Go Rides are the place to be at this time of the year! They last 2 - 3 hours, 40 - 50 miles. Check the 3RVS Forum every Friday for late breaking details about the rides |
