Start location: Psi Ote Pavilion in North Side Park, 705 East State Blvd. (at Parnell Ave.), Fort Wayne, Indiana
It's Our 23nd Year!
Grab your helmet and start the New Year off right with northeast Indiana’s best New Year day bicycle tour. Be sure to join us this year for a great ride and great food.
Three Rivers Velo Sport (3RVS) and the Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation Department are excited to co-sponsor the 23rd Chilly Challenge bike ride on Jan 1, 2018. The ride begins with a mass start from Psi Ote Barn at Northside Park at 1PM. Our fearless leader Phil Snider will lead the group out on the 15 and 25 mile routes.
The 15 mile route will wander through streets and parks of Ft Wayne before heading over to the St Joe River to watch the Polar Bears take a dip in the chilly river. From there, riders can continue the ride and complete the full 25 mile route, or head back to the start
Riders returning to Psi Ote Barn can look forward to warm bowls of chili made by members of 3RVS, along with hot chocolate, coffee, hot tea, cornbread, sweets and conversation.
All cyclists are welcome on the ride as long as they are wearing helmets and riding a bike in good working order. We will not be offering rider support on the ride. Registration and signing of liability waivers must be completed before the ride departs.
The ride is free of charge however donations are definitely appreciated.
HELMETS are REQUIRED on this ride.
We don't provide printable maps for this ride. However, we do have GPX maps for your phone or bike-puter. The three maps for showing the start, short and long option routes can be downloaded here:
