Volunteer Coaches Needed!

A vital part of the Trailblazers' success is maintaining a low youth-to-coach ratio. Our ideal group sizes consist of at least two adults and no more than six youth riders. To achieve this, we rely on dedicated parent-coaches willing to ride with the team or "sweep" during practices.

All Trailblazers' coaches are volunteers who share a passion for empowering youth through mountain biking. Volunteering as a coach is a rewarding way to introduce young riders to a healthy, outdoor activity, serve as a positive role model, and enjoy the great outdoors yourself!

Why Become a Coach?

  • Make a Difference: Be part of a team that encourages youth to embrace mountain biking and outdoor adventure.
  • Flexible Commitment: Coaching doesn't require a significant time commitment. Even assisting at one or two practices each month is a huge help.
  • Enjoy the Outdoors: Spend time in nature while supporting and guiding young riders.

Requirements to Coach

To become a Trailblazers' coach, you must register with the following organizations:

  1. 3RVS Membership: You must be a member of Three Rivers Velo Sport (3RVS). If you're not already a member, sign up here.
  2. MiSCA: Coaches must register with MiSCA to ensure background checks and complete sports-related training to maintain the safety of all riders. Register with MiSCA here.
